Factory45 asks Mindy Martell one way to control quality for your clothing manufacturing. Mindy explains how tech packs or spec sheets help in this. Learn more in our Clothier 4 Step Academy at link below. http://www.clothierdesignsource.com/academy/

The Technical Design Packet is also known as spec sheets or specification sheets in the industry. These are quality control documents that are used to instruct the making of your garment. They set up parameters for construction methods, sizing standards and raw materials used.

WHY WE OFFER THIS SERVICE?

These documents record all information that the pattern and samples themselves are missing. It is the final piece needed to go into manufacturing.

PAGES OF THE DOCUMENT INCLUDE:

  • technical line drawing

  • ISO stitching details

  • fabrics

  • trims

  • label info

  • packaging specs

  • grading (sizing information)

  • point of measure for every size

  • tolerances

It is very important to have accurate specs and measurements so that the factory can follow your ideas into production.

Once the tech packet is complete, you will have all the needed information to produce your garments at our manufacturing facility or anywhere in the world!
